The Monday Five + What I brought home from Paris
What went live on the blog, a Madewell 20% off sale and more.
Hey Indigoer,
I am finally back into a groove here in NYC. I was in Paris for a week, and it always takes a few days to get back to normal. Between jet lag (I swear it gets harder as you get older), and the yucky weather, I’ve been very slowly easing into my routine again.
While my Paris guide is officially updated (the Google Map is what now gets updated after each trip), I am putting the finishing touches on my NYC guide. This should be launching next week and I can’t wait to share it with you all. I literally had ONE photo I needed for my guide for it to be complete, so over the weekend, I headed to Greenpoint to try out a few spots and capture that final image.
I finally tried a bakery I’d been DYING to go to and I’m so glad I went. I got two pastries, both fantastic, and a sandwich to go. Quite possibly one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. It’s in the top 5 for sure. Maybe I need an official sandwich ranking of NYC.
Coming this week, my recap of Paris will be sent out to paid subscribers. A look at the spots I visited and restaurants I ate at and loved. There were a lot of wins this trip and I checked off a lot of my to-do list! Everything is already added to my Paris Google Map that is included for customers of my Paris guide, une journée indigo. Here’s Your Monday Five…
New Madewell Pieces In My Closet + 20% Off With Code LTK20
I recently got this pretty little dress from Madewell and OMG she fits so beautifully. It is polyester, you know my feelings on that. Which means, it’s a spring dress, or a nighttime summer dress. But the fit is so so good, and so comfortable. I also got these sandals in the olive suede, and I’m debating getting them in black instead. I’m in need of a comfortable black walking sandal and these are SO so comfortable. Also, finally added a real pair of barrel leg jeans to my closet. These are so minimal in the barrel shape that I like them. I just can not do the big horseshoe look. These are great, I sized up.
Right now you can use code LTK20 to get 20% off your order, not stackable. This ends TODAY. Shop Madewell right here →
Noise Cancellation To The Max
I am so excited about receiving these BOSE headphones from the brand. I have been wanting a pair for a while and was really excited when they reached out to see if I’d like to give them a try. I have not stopped wearing them, even in my house to listen to music or chat on the phone. I went with the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones for noise canceling and great sound. I’m debating grabbing the earbuds too because I heard they’re better than AirPods Pro, let me know if you have and love them.
The Souvenirs I Brought Back From Paris
I didn’t do a ton of shopping in Paris, which is surprising. While I stopped into DOZENS of stores, I just had a hard time making a purchase. My wallet is thankful, but the fashion influencer in me is slightly disappointed! I really wanted a pair of vintage sunnies that I am kicking myself for not grabbing. But here’s what I picked up…
Skincare like A313 retinol, body wash, hand cream and SPF.
French mustard and butter. I am trying a vanilla butter that just seems like it’ll be perfect on a piece of toast with jam or maybe a scone!
This candle in the basil scent, socks and this ring from Sezane. I picked up this bag for my sister and now wish I had bought one for myself, too.
Pencils from Marin Montagut. I love a pencil and have been collecting them since my move to NYC. My desk was empty when I moved here and needed pencils for my French class, so I’ve been picking up cute ones every so often. It’s now become something fun I collect.
Full video of my souvenirs and the skincare and beauty products I picked up at the French pharmacy to come to IG and TikTok soon. Would love to know if you’d like to see a blog post on French pharmacies and what to buy and what to know? Let me know below!
This Cookbook Arrived & I Highly Suggest You Grab A Copy
I am a big
of Wishbone Kitchen fan. I didn’t realize that I had been following her prior to her big break with her viral “day in the life of a Hamptons private chef” video. She’s adorable, funny, and I just love her recipes. I pre-ordered her cookbook the moment she announced it. It arrived last week and I sat down to read it (yes, read it) and I can’t wait to make a few recipes. Grab your copy here →Join Me For A Live On Substack
