Good To The Last Drop - My Latest Beauty Empties Vol 2
The tinted glotion I use all the time and my signature nail color. Plus 7 new products I'm trying.
Hey Indigoer!
So many good products in today’s post. From a favorite nail polish color, to the drugstore tinted foundation I swear by. You can see my first edition of this series here. I’m also including a few new products I’ve been using.
Every beauty empty in today’s post are all worthy of a repurchase. They are truly essentials I love and use nearly everyday. Hence, why they’re now empty! Let’s dive into it.
essie Nail Polish In Geranium
This is my signature color that I am almost always wearing. It’s such a good red. My Lightroom edit for my photos though makes it look a bit orange/red. But this is the true shade of it in the above photo. Please disregard the messy manicure, that’s my method. Messy manicure gets washed off in the shower the next day and then it’s perfect. And yes, I’m still obsessed with the Dazzle Dry base and top coat for long lasting nails.
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
In my last beauty empty post (also below), I finished a cleansing balm that was not worth the price point, in my opinion. I went back to my old tried and true favorite, the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. It melts away your makeup, dirt and oil. Use this as a pre-cleanse before you use a cleanser to target skin issues. I usually just use this as my one and done because double cleansing, for some reason, is hard for me to do.
Philosophy Body Wash In Juniper
This is a holiday scent I got from Philosophy over Christmas and I have been savoring it. It smells so good that I was honestly only using it once or twice a week in between my usual Method body wash. But once I ran out of my Method body wash, I’ve been using this daily. It smells so insanely good and I am bummed it is a holiday exclusive. Petition to make this a year-round scent to shop! There are a few left available at HSN here →
L’Oreal Lumi Glotion
This is one of my favorite products that I use all the time. I have two shades, Medium Glow for when I’m more tan, and Light Glow for winter. I sometimes use it as is for just a slight glow and tint. And sometimes I mix it with some foundation for a little more coverage. It gives a dewy, glowy look.
7 New Beauty Products I’m Trying
The Outset Purifying Blue Clay Mask
This is Scarlett Johansson’s beauty brand and I am clearly not a celebrity skincare or beauty skeptic. I’m a Haus Labs and Fenty STAN. As an oily girlie, clay masks are my favorite. They help to strip the oils from my pores and really make my skin feel super clean. If you have dry skin, this is not for you. I just apply it to my T-zone, that’s a capital T, iykyk. SHOP THE MASK →
Denman Brush
My Denman brush, which feels so old school to me, is my favorite. But they recently launched a new brush that is meant to add shine and gloss to your hair with its boar bristles. It may rival the Mason Pearson brush at a fraction of the price. Shop it here →
Harmonize by Cosmedix
I had a facial recently with Cosmedix and the one thing I asked the aesthetician was what do I need to add to my routine to keep my skin looking its best? I also feel like moving to NYC has caused my skin to look and feel a bit sluggish, especially in the winter. Which is very new for me. He said “it’s all about the skin barrier”. Harmonize is Cosmedix’s new product to help protect and build your skin barrier. It’s basically a high impact moisturizer. I was worried this would make me oily, but it doesn’t at all (signed, very oily girl). Shop it here →
Soft Services Retinol Hand Cream
Before I crawl into bed, I have been applying this retinol hand cream on the back of my hands. It smells so good. But it’s also repairing and treating the delicate skin on my hands to keep them looking their best. I also wish they’d come out with a regular lotion because this scent is so delightful. There’s also a fragrance-free version. Plus, it’s such a lovely container (and they sell refills) that you can leave it on your nightstand as a decorative piece. Shop the hand cream →
UNI Body Oil
I never thought I’d like a body oil as an oily person. I thought you just used lotion and you’re good to go. But when I am heading out to dinner with any skin exposed, especially the neck, I’ve been oiling up with this oil. Your skin looks glowy and healthy. It’s like night and day! Shop the body oil →
Aesop Hand Cream
Always love Aesop products, and finally got their classic hand cream. It smells so insanely good. Shop the hand cream →
Urban Decay Glitter Eyeliner
My friend Katelyn wore this raelly fun silver glitter liner out one night and we all swooned over it. While in Sephora, I swatched a few options and landed on Starfire. Perfect for a Saturday night out look and a red lip. Shop the liner →
