I’m giggling as I went to go write this post. My goal for this trip was to capture a ton of content. I even made a spreadsheet and told my friend who was joining me that she would have to play cameraman a bit. She was so great in reminding me by shouting “content!” every so often to make sure I captured the things I needed to.
I do a really good job of being in the moment. Which means, I will always forget to capture content. Which you’d think I’d be better at as an influencer. But, I’m not. I’m so used to the old school photoshoot days and I simply still struggle to capture content on the daily. I actually think it’s one of my superpowers to be in the moment. I do a really good job of it. So much so, that I forget to do my job. Which is slightly problematic.
For this trip, I made a spreadsheet of things I needed. Bakeries, b-roll of the city, shops and more. I do really well with a shot list and I truly live and die by it when I do my photoshoots. This spreadsheet got 90% checked off which I think is pretty good.
Do you know what I forgot to put on my shot list?
Besides taking photos in front of the Eiffel Tower after lunch one day, I don’t have a single proper outfit photo. So these are all screenshots of a video. And I am ashamed I failed at my job terribly. But, I did get tons of content of food, shopping and more. Which means there are lots of Reels coming on tips to visiting and highlights of my trip. Next trip I’ll finally get it all done properly and capture ALL of it.
The weather in Paris for my week long stay in May rarely topped 70 degrees. It was mostly in the mid to high 60s, with lows in the high 40s, low 50s. This sounds cold, but honestly, it wasn’t so bad. I think there’s warm 60, and cool 60. And this was definitely a warm 60. Also the sun sets so late that the low is truly in the middle of the night so you don’t need to worry about a true coat. Although, many Parisians were wearing coats.
Sun was shining, not a big breeze, delightful if you ask me. Plus, when you start walking around all day long, you get warmed up. I actually really love this temperature for city exploring. It keeps you from overheating and is really a pleasant temperature.
When I initially checked the weather a couple of days before my trip, it was supposed to eventually get into the mid to high 70s later in my stay. But once I arrived, the forecast shifted and it just sort of stayed in that same mid 60s range. My little linen dresses and cute shorts never saw the light of day. This is why I always pack lots of options and will never, ever be a carry-on only girl for a trip over 3 days.
If you’re visiting in June and July, there will definitely be plenty of warm and even hot days, with limited air conditioning. Linen dresses and lightweight fabrics are a must. You can also check out my guide here on what to wear in Paris for every season and occasion.
What I Wore In Paris This Spring
This combination was a favorite. I felt cute, stylish and also very comfortable. I wore this yellow Aligne skirt with a tank and ballet flats to explore one day. It was great to go from lunch to exploring, shopping and then dinner. These ballet flats are also super comfortable and I easily did 15K steps in them with no issues.

My first day I threw this on to walk around and stay awake as best as possible. These Paige jeans are so so comfortable, I could sleep in them. A simple tee, cropped trench and sneakers. These Adidas Gazelles were super comfortable and I did 20K plus steps in them almost every day.

For dinner out, I did jeans with a vest. A favorite combination that feels like the updated Millennial Going Out Top. I wore them with a pair of old raffia heels (these are similar) that were comfy to walk in to and from dinner. I threw on a blazer since the evenings were a bit chillier.

Another perfect combination with a poplin skirt and sneakers. This outfit was what I wore to do 20K steps exploring Paris, from morning to night. You could easily swap out the sneaker for a sandal or heel for nighttime. Plus, this striped tee is such a favorite. It’s a great weight and fits really well. I took a medium.
One item I had to pack for this trip for its comfort and also style, my leopard Adidas track pants. Track pants are a great option to pack for trips because they’re comfy, don’t take up a ton of space and can be dressed up or down. I wore this for a full day of museums, walking and shopping. So comfortable to wear this for a full day of exploring in Paris. More ways to style track pants here.

Your outfits are amazing! I love the combo of chic and super comfortable - that's always tricky when you're out from morning to night :) Saving for outfit inspo for my next trip!
