The Monday Five 1.27.25 & the new in-house brand at Anthropolgie
Anthropologie launches a new brand and it has me ready to book a tropical getaway
Hey Indigoer,
Over the weekend I tried my hand at pickleball for the first time. It was so much fun and it felt good to get a little workout in. As someone who really enjoyed tennis, but hated all the running required, it was truly the perfect game for my workout personality.
My friend Camille and I snagged a 4:30 reservation at Via Carota. Sadly, no Taylor Swift sightings at the early bird special. But it was such a great meal. The grilled artichokes were out of this world incredible. And the cacio e pepe was creamy and spicy with tons of black pepper. Just how I like it. I’ve been admittedly milking this birthday. While I’m not one for parties, I have always been one for a fun lunch or dinner with my friends. And thanks to having lots of small friend groups, and one off friendships, it turns out I can stay pretty busy with birthday meals. No complaints here.
Here’s Your Monday Five…
A Favorite Hair Product
I usually finish my curls off with a little texturizing spray and maybe hairspray. But there is a new product I bought a few months ago that I have been loving. It’s the R+Co dry shampoo paste. While it’s technically dry shampoo and can absorb oil, it’s really the ultimate texturizing and hold product I’ve ever used. You use the TINIEST amount, like not even a pea size, rub it between your fingers and then rub it into your hair. It’s perfect to give you volume, grit and texture, and you can kind of reactivate it throughout the day by just rubbing your fingers through the hair. You can see my tutorial here →
Birthday Bag Fail
So I bought Option #3 from last week’s post for my birthday and sadly, it is way too small. It barely holds what I need and because of that, it doesn’t clasp shut. It’s a no. Sadly. I’m going to head to Veronica Beard to check out this bag which was initially my top pick. However, I truly think this is the bag I need to get (featured above). I’ve been eyeing it for YEARS but it is such a splurge. I’m not one to spend more than $500 on a bag, but maybe, maybe this is the year I treat myself. Shop the bag →
Madewell New Arrivals Are 😍
New arrivals are starting to land and Madewell has me creating a wishlist FAST. I’m loving this shoulder bag and also this one in the olive green color, these sandals have the perfect heel. Also into this cropped chore jacket. Shop all the new arrivals at Madewell including ready to wear winter pieces and a peek into spring here →
Charmed
From bag charms, to charm necklaces, this is a trend we’re seeing a lot of lately. I have been having more fun with jewelry thanks to this trend and it’s nice to add something interesting to a more simple outfit in the form of jewelry. Really loving this chunky one, and this is a simpler option that still packs a statement punch.
And for bag charms, how fun would this lobster charm be on a straw tote for spring and summer? Or even these cute little strawberries. I’m also loving this navy and gold heart bag charm. It would be perfect for your everyday bag. Also saw this one in person over the weekend while deciding on the Veronica Beard bag and thought it was so cute.
Anthropologie’s New Line, Celandine
While browsing for resort pieces to include in February’s upcoming style edit, I discovered that Anthropologie launched a new in-house brand, Celandine. It’s a resort ready collection at a great price. This dress and this dress are so cute, and I’m loving this swimsuit. Lots of great pieces. Although, I’m not sure how this passed the merchandiser’s desk, it’s giving 2010 right?
PS the February style edit is coming out soon, be sure to upgrade to paid so you don’t miss a thing!
xx Jessica
