My Atlanta Guide & Google Map List

Let me tell you something about Atlanta. It has an incredible food scene and there are several spots I truly miss being able to visit every weekend. I have had so many amazing meals in ATL and I have been saving them to my Google Maps for years now.

While I’m not making a full blown guide for Atlanta similar to my Paris guide, I do have this blog post with some tips on traveling to the city, what to do and so on. However, I decided to share my Google Map list here on Substack for paid subscribers. So for just $5, you can get my Atlanta Google Map which I continue to add to every time I head back home.

The list is linked below in the article and once you save it to your phone, any updates I make will be reflected in the list! It’s my absolute favorite way to explore cities and try new places. Just click “

What’s on the list? It has over 175 of my favorite restaurants, bars, bakeries and even shops. I included a handful of hotels in the list too, but the bulk of the list is all my favorite restaurants from casual spots, to fine dining from Buckhead, to Downtown, and even a few favorites in Alpharetta.

My Atlanta Favorites

My Google Map list has all of the spots I’ve dined at and enjoyed. But this is a short list of some of my top favorites. The spots I find myself going back to time and time again. Ones I recommend to friends if they’re visiting. And of course, ones I can always count on for a fantastic experience.

My Top 10 Atlanta Restaurants

1. Superica

This is I think the most underrated brunch in Atlanta. It is never busy and I just don’t get why there isn’t always an hour long wait here. The pancake is one of the best I’ve ever had (the syrup itself is incredible), I love the huevos rancheros and the black and white horchata iced coffee is a must. You can’t go wrong here.

But if you’re not into brunch, their lunch and dinner are fantastic. Ford Fry is a favorite chef of mine and he does Tex Mex really well. I can drink the green salsa, the margaritas are great, and the chicken verde enchiladas are my go-to order. Oh and don’t forget the cheese dip! I make time to visit Superica on every visit back to Atlanta. And it’s always a bonus when I can squeeze in a brunch AND a dinner.

2. Strocio Fresco or Forza Storico

These are sister restaurants and the menus are fairly similar. But this is one of my favorite Italian spots in the city. And yes, it’s also Heather McMahan’s favorite. The Aperol Spritz here is named after her. I love the Carciofo Fritto Alla Romana - fried artichokes (really lightly fried, I don’t really do fried things often), the mista is the PERFECT salad, the onions are my favorite part of it.
